And this is how I feel.

You're also wondering, "Where did my life go so wrong?"
Nah. You probably did great. (Insert ethnic stereotype here).

No, I will be wondering that in a week when we get our grades in.

He looks like he's having a seizure while walking. . . Well that is how I'll feel on monday, I got a organic chem midterm at 9am followed by a calc midterm at 10am. Hello to not having a weekend!

I took Ochem, you should do fine. I pretty much didn't go to class, and as long as you know the reactions you will probably get a good grade.
Calc? May God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah, its just memorizing what happens with what reagents along with the ortho, meta, para directors. The highest grade in my class on the last midterm was a 64/100. . .

Oh jeeezz. Well I guess yours is a little harder than my colleges version. Still better than a class average of 45% on a test. . . Calc 2, I am telling you. It is the ender of students.

Calc 1 student here, thanks for making me scared for next semester :(

Nah... Calc 2 was a cake walk....
The semester I took two four credit advanced calc classes nearly ended my engineering career before it started.... Calculus of Several Variables and Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations. At the time, I thought it would be good to get them both out of the way in one semester - you know, like ripping off a band aid real fast. That semester left a mark on me - for life.

This semester is really hurting me, I got calc 1, organic chem 2, and calc based physics all going on. Yep, I'm kicking myself for not getting my math in sooner. It seems as if this is how the next 2 semesters are going to go as well. . .

It always seems to work that way... The classes actually got easier for me in the last two years of undergrad because I was doing more hands-on engineering lab classes like mechanics of machining, solidification processes, process simulation and capstone design classes, etc. Grad school was no picnic though... Working full time, driving 55 miles to class twice a week, and then tackling simultaneous classes like fracture and rheology, vehicle control systems design, machine dynamics, computational solutions to mechanical systems, and more. Brain = melted.

Well it depends on the college. Calc 2 at Purdue is a weedout class. So they screw over as many as they can.

Hey, I'm at Purdue too! Well then... here's to hoping, right? I'll be taking Calc 2 for Technology, maybe it'll be a little easier than the Engineering calc 2.

I think it should be. Cause the engineering one, they are trying to fail you. It might be the same class though, so be prepared.

Absolutely dreading orgo next semester. Is it as bad as they say it is?

It can be if you don't read or do the homework. The labs are actually fun and interesting. NMR and IR spectroscopy is a nightmare but as long as you can keep a good memory of the reactions and mechanisms from first semester when you go to the second semester you should be fine. Some professors like to make it ridiculously hard to intentionally hurt your feelings. Just stay on top of the material and you should be fine. I have Orgo lecture in an hour and a half. . . Get to listen to my chinese professor talking about acids and acid derivatives and how they can be in "equilabium," she has effectively ruined the word equilibrium for me. . . Good luck in orgo, it can be fun but somethings just don't make sense right away.
